Digital collages from Brazil

Introduce yourself in two lines

My mame is Marcel Lisboa, I'm 30 years old from São Paulo Brazil and I love to work using collage technique.

Tell us something about the beginning of your career.

In the beginning I was trying to find out something artistic that I really liked. It was like searching something that I didn't knew yet, but I always had experimental personal works that helped me a lot to get this aesthetic work that I got.

Where does your passion for art come from?

It comes from my inevitable search to express myself in different ways. First was music then came the collage. I work with photograph and video too so in the future I will probably mix them all and see what happens.

Where do you find inspiration?

In everyday life, in other artists, in music, in the grotesque, in anatomy, in nature and almost everything I see.

Is there any other Camaloon artist that you like?

There are a lot of outstanding artists in Camaloon but I saw the work of Edurne Lacunza and it's impressive.

Tell us about your creations on Camaloon.

I've chosen six artworks I think that fit to Camaloon's products. Some pinups and people from pop culture.

The project that makes your prouder.

There're a lot of works and partnerships I made along all these years, I made a job for an economy magazine from Brazil called "Carta Capital", creating twenty three digital collages. It was pretty hard and fun.

What is Camaloon for you?

Camaloon for me it's a great place to have a beautiful and unique gift. There are so many artists and beautiful products, specially the pocket mirror. I just love it!

Tell us a funny story about you or your work.

It's fun to see how people see my work. During a special exposition, a person that I didn't know well, came to me and beginning to explain its point of you about art, telling me this and that with so much passion and conviction that it created a brand new world for that piece. It was fun.

One last comment?

I wanna thank you all from Camaloon for the opportunity to share a little about me and my work. <
