Editions Caurette is a French publisher, part of the Optima group, whose ethos is to publish niche and exclusive books and collections. Their mantra is Few but top quality books.
As they’ve reached out to their customers, the publisher has planted the question of how to reward their best customers and offer them something practical and artistic.
Editions Caurette opted for the personalised tote bags with two illustrations on both sides, one for the publishers and another for the published author.
The bags were put on sale and were given away for free with minimum book purchases. Tote bags are also a perfect gift for carrying books around with you, especially the big collections offered by the publisher.
The importance of merchandising
Marine from Editions Caurette tells us how, for them, merchandising plays a fundamental role in festivals and conferences held in the sector
“We like to know our readers and spend time with the authors that we work with”, a perfect gift for creating a sense of community and gaining visibility in all of the industry’s events.
Printing creative artwork
For their tote bags, Ediciones Caurette has chosen some black and white illustrations by their authors Kim Jung Gi and Eric Herenguel,
The result has won everybody over: “the illustrations looked like they were painted onto the tote bags” says Marine.
